Helpful Spring Time Tip: Moss Removal
By Jason Hammrich
Here are some helpful moss removal tips:
> Spring time is the best time to treat for moss in your lawn. Treating moss when it is actively growing, is most effective.
> Once treated, the moss should turn black.
> For heavy infestions, a de-thatch is recommended to remove thick dense patches.
> Over-seed your lawn and aerate to open up the soil and get air and nutrients to the grass roots. This will allow the grass to spread and fill in the bare spots where moss was present.
> An application of lime is also recommend to help raise acidic levels in the soil ph.
